Bigfork is a small mountain village resort area located in the midst of the fabulous Flathead Valley.  It is situated on the Northeast corner of Flathead Lake and surrounded by mountains on all sides.  One of the major attractions in the Bigfork area is the water.  The large blue lake is dotted with colorful, gliding sailboats, gracious tour boats and charter fishing tours.  In addition to these amenities, the area offers outdoor activities ranging from hiking to fishing to water sports of all kinds. No matter where your interest lies, you are presented with unbelievable opportunities for everyone to enjoy the crystal clear, pristine lakes and streams and the crisp, clean mountain air.

The Flathead Valley, and Bigfork in particular, is home to dozens of artists and galleries which feature a full spectrum of art ranging from painters, sculptors and potters to chainsaw artists, furniture makers, quilters and jewelers.   Visiting an arts and crafts fair such as the the Bigfork Festival of the Arts gives the viewers an opportunity to meet and watch the artisans as they work and an occasion to take home something to love.

BIGFORK TRULY HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Bigfork has some of the finest restaurants in the Northwest featuring a full range of atmosphere and fine food to please any culinary appetite.  The location of the majority of these intriguing establishments is well within walking distance of the Theatre.

In addition to the Playhouse, the Riverbend Stage is an open air amphitheatre presenting shows on Sundays all summer where concert goers bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

If golf is one of your passions, you'll love Eagle Bend Golf Course located just to the west of Bigfork.  As one of the northwest's premiere golfing communities, it offers breath taking views and a challenge for everyone.

Among the oldest and most delicious treats for visitors to the Bigfork Area are the marvelous cherries which are grown along the shores of Flathead Lake.  The Flathead's famous sweet cherries are a tasty bonus for locals and visitors alike, a product made possible by the unusually mild weather which prevails along the shores of the lake.

Fifty miles to the north, the splendor of Glacier National Park unfolds a majestic beauty which will literally take your breath away.  A trip through the park is essential while visiting Bigfork.
